Your Next WDM Dining Experience

The next time you plan to dine out in West Des Moines, take a look at the restaurant guide the City's Community and Economic Development department recently created. You can download the listing online. Visitors can take a look at the accompanying map to see the areas in West Des Moines with the largest concentrations of restaurants.

The categorized listing with contact information is a helpful reminder of the numerous options out there in our city, and may trigger a memory of a great place or help guide you to something new.

Online Traffic Reports

In our latest attempt to provide more services online, the West Des Moines Police Department has enabled an online traffic reporting form. The form can be used for non-emergency traffic violations including but not limited to speeding violations, stop sign violations, school zone violations, handicap violations, and illegal parking. In addition to making the reporting process more efficient and more easily tracked, this system allows you to report a continuing violation that the department can monitor and update.

To find the form, click the link above or follow these steps:

Visit http://www.wdm-ia.com/
Under Your Government, select Police, then Services
Choose the "File a Traffic Complaint" form

Since we launched the new city website in March, city staff have been able to add value piece by piece through small additions like this, enabling you to do more through the web. We will continue to find other opportunities to provide self-service options to our residents where it makes sense.
