A-MAY-Zing Month

June is here and the first annual A-MAY-Zing Days events have come to a close. The Community Celebration Committee put together a fun and comprehensive string of events for residents of West Des Moines and visitors from other communities to enjoy. The month wrapped up with a successful Kool and the Gang concert on 5th Street in Valley Junction, a presentation to the Iowa National Guard of a Key to the City, and fireworks the last weekend in May at Jordan Creek Town Center as part of the Principal Charity Classic. A-MAY-Zing Days featured many community events worth attending that got more attention under the newly created "brand" for the month of May. Zing into Spring and the street party in Valley Junction were particularly fun new events that the Chamber and City hope to bring back on an annual basis.
